 Andrew Norkin, D.M.D., M.D., an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon, completed his undergraduate studies with a Bachelor’s of Science in Biology at Emory University. Growing up with a father who is an Endodontist and Periodontist brother, pursuing further medical training felt like a natural choice upon graduation from Emory. Dr. Norkin earned his Doctorate in Dental Medicine, D.M.D., from Harvard School of Dental Medicine. While at Harvard, he had the opportunity to work with some of the nation’s preeminent dental scholars. He continued his graduate training at the University of Miami School of Medicine where he earned his M.D. degree. Dr. Norkin’s intensive 6-year residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Jackson Memorial Hospital offered unique training opportunities in facial trauma, pathology and reconstructive surgery, orthognathic surgery, dental implant surgery, and anesthesia. Additionally, Dr. Norkin completed a 1-year fellowship in anesthesia while at Jackson Memorial Hospital and is well qualified to provide anesthesia and sedation to adults, children, and patients with special needs.
Dr. Norkin is currently on staff at Delray Medical Center, the trauma center for southern Palm Beach County, Boca Raton Community Hospital, and West Boca Medical Center. He is a member of the following professional organizations: American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, Florida Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, and South Palm Beach County Dental Association.
Dr. Norkin lives in South Florida with his wife, Jessica and young daughter. In his free time, he enjoys watching football, playing tennis, and spending time with family and friends.
